SEACART 30 VERSIONS & Off-SHORE OPTIONS.

The SeaCart 30 R comes ready to race excluding sails and engine in a stripped down OD

inshore racing configuration.

Offshore versions for short handed sailing (SC30 S) and fully crewed off-shore racing

(SC30 R Off-shore) are under specification, please contact Oceanlake Marine AB for

further details. The R version can be converted to any other specification at a later stage

at reasonable cost since most of the difference are in the form of add on equipment and

features.

MATERIALS AND BUILDING PROCESS

All the SeaCart parts are made in pre preg T 600 carbon fibre cured at 125 degrees at 3

– 8 bars of pressure in the Autoclave. 15 mm Nomex sandwich is used in the hulls.

All parts including the hulls are made in a seamless one shot process which ensures

perfect leading edges and saves considerable weight by omitting glue in joints between

hull halves.

Tornado hulls build by Marstrom 20 years ago are still out there competing successfully.

The high quality build and tight tolerances keep your investment safe over time.

BEAMS

- Curved Carbon beams with 9,5 mm rod water stays.

- One bolt tighten the beam ending to the Main hull, two bolts at the pontoon end.

STEERING, RUDDERS AND CENTREBOARD

SAIL HANDLING

- 2 Harken B 40 STQ winches and winch handles on cabin roof

- 2 Spinlock XTS06082 double clutches for the halyards led to the cockpit area.

- 8 mm colour coded dyneema halyards for main (2:1), jib and gennaker.

- 8 mm high quality polyester for main, jib and gennaker sheets.

- Spinlock XAS04082 clutch for jib reef and jib Cunningham. Self tacking jib with 8:1

purchase with cleats on the forward beam, 2:1 traveller control

- Semi-circular mainsheet track in Carbon with Carbon traveller car and side controls with

1:6 purchase. Marstrom control blocks with low friction needle bearings.

- Carbon boom with internal Spinlock XAS04083 for reefs and outhaul. 8 mm high quality

colour coded Polyester rope for 2 reefs and outhaul. Internal fine tune system 1:4

purchase and ratchet coupled to external gross tune of 7:1 giving a total of 28:1 for the

mainsheet. Fine tune cleated on a Harken 141 under the boom, gross tune on a 75 mm

ratchmatic triple on the aft beam.

- Harken Code 00 endless genacker furler with spliced control line.

- Twin aft beam Harken 1549 and 1571 ratchet blocks for gennaker sheet.

SC30 R (One Design)

- Mainsail: 43 sqm. 3 reefs to sailmakers specification

- J1 Jib: 19 sqm. Reefed: 15 sqm.

- Code 2 Gennaker: 68 sqm. 1.5 oz nylon SMG 65%.

Off-Shore options

- J2. ORC Jib: 8-10 sqm.

- Code 1, Heavy air VMG gennaker: 44 sqm. NORLAM 3,2 SMG 57%.

- (Code 0. Light wind sail). If to use it will be settled under 2005 – ruled 2006.

TRAMPOLINES

The SeaCart 30 is delivered with black trampolines with a continuous hiking strap over

the tramp. Grey and blue are optional colours at additional charge. The trampoline

material is well suited for screen-printed advertising. Printed trampolines are available.

INTERIOR

The SeaCart 30 is as a standard delivered with a raw carbon fibre interior with simple

seats and a bunk plane forward and aft. Painting, cushions, toilet etc are optional. A

space for toilet and battery is provided.

DEMOUNTING AND TRANSPORTING

The SeaCart 30 can be demounted within an hour by a crew of four. This is facilitated by

the beam design where the beams stay attached to the amas (side hulls) with the

trampolines permanently lashed on during the race season. The weight of the

beam/float/trampoline assembly is around 120 kgs which means that it can be

conveniently carried by the crew as well as handled by the optional special trolleys.

The low weight of the boat and trailer makes it possible to tow the boat with a medium

sized car. See also trailer mode (folded) picture on the page 5.

ENGINE ARRANGEMENT

The SeaCart 30 is fitted with a sliding system hiding the outboard in the aft skirt of the

main hull. The engine is not included. Minimum weight according to class rule 40 kgs.

COLORS

The standard colour of the SeaCart is white using a 2 pot polyurethane paint from

Standox. Any RAL code colour including metallic colours can be mixed at an additional

charge1. We can also offer graphic striping of the boat using files from your sponsor.

FILES FOR PRESENTATIONS

We have a set of five individual pictures of the SeaCart 30 R sailing. Those you easily

change in Adobe Photoshop to your sponsor or future sponsors graphic design. Get your
